There is my husband.
He's about ten feet away folding laundry.
He just washed the dishes.
He just picked up all of the left-out toys.
This is after a day full of kids, adventures, parties, in-laws, etc.
I'd like to be helping him. Even more I'd like to walk over and say "let me rub your back".
But I'm not. I'm here. Sitting. Tired. Plain worn out.
Wondering. What would it be like to give 100%? I mean, each day I give 100% - more. But never 100% in each facet of my life. I'm never 100% a wife. At best I might hit 75%.
So I wonder.
What would it be like to say I can give 100% as a mom today. To say that I'm not doing anything else but giving 100% to them. Or to him. Or to myself.

so, i've thought about this. i think that giving 100% isn't always realistic. as SAHMs we HAVE to be thinking and doing multiple things. there are few things that we can give 100% to.
and knowing you, you give more than the average amount of yourself to things. of course you're going to be worn out! it's just our season of life. there will come a time when things change (however slowly that may seem.....)
love you.
If you are tired, and plain worn out it sounds like you are giving 100%. That doesn't mean everything gets done.
And part of that is filling your own cup sometimes so you have something to pour out on others, ya know? Don't be so hard on yourself.
It is all about perspective, if we could all give 100%, 100% of the time then giving 100% wouldn't be meaningful. You do more than your share most of the time and of anyone I know you get the closest to the 100% mark.
